So dropped my car off to Vee W services this morning to get the bushes done, all good dropped the car off said to come pick it up at lunch time no worries,

just had a call from the garage and basically they have just advised me that the the brake pads on teh rear passengerside are pretty low and need to be replaced asap, they said would need new disks and pads on the rear and when i asked how mcuh i would be lookign at to get that done (not today) said it would be £130  any suggestions on what disks and pads to buy?

yet another thing that NEEDS to be done as if they are shaggged not only will i not stop but wont pass the MOT when it comes around, better i find out now i guess rather than when i end up in a bush or worse

May be worth upgrading the rears?

If not those mintex bundles on ebay were pretty cheap!

ignore them mate

they said the same about mine and mine lasted another 10K before i swapped them  rears only do about 20% of the total braking so not quite as critical as the fronts

i'd get a 2nd opinion from your mate Tom

Not good news, but like you said better to find out know than then your driving.
If you change your pads and decide to get better ones e.g EBC can you let me know where you got them and if they are good as Im tempted to get some.

Cheers
Max

agree with rhys on this  more of the braking bias is from the front so less wear on the rears and the pads on the rear always look thin anyway unless theres a noticeable wear ridge on the discs then i wouldnt listen to them but maybe upgrade the pads for something better
