is a mk2 16v gti group 14 or 15 insurance?

yup its group 15

a mk2 8v is group 14

a mk3 16v is group 16...  so is a vr6,  a mk3 8v is group 14


couldn't find the info for mk1s
Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

so the same insurance group as raddo 1.816v,

jus trying to get an idea on what insurance would be like.......

cant believ a mk3 vr6 is only group 16, thats quality man ;)

My insurance company told me my vr6 Highline is group 18 :o  Still gave me by far the best quote though ::)

all mk3 16vs/vr6s are listed as group 16 on parkers.


talking about insurance... has anyone tried that new one they're adverstising on telly..

I thought the mk2 8v 5dr was in grp13 and 3dr n grp14. the 5dr is seen more as a family car whereas the 3dr a sports car  ???

MK1 1.8 gti's are group 11 last time I checked. That was 6 years ago though so it might have changed :)
