Factory Tuned MK II 2 ltr GTI???
« on: 14 April 2009, 10:03 »
Hi there,

I'm in the market for my next dub and have seen a MK II being toted as the above! Supposedly made in very small numbers, maybe that's why I've never heard of it. Has anyone else heard of this? It's new to me!

Did Volkswagen produce a limited edition 2 litre MK II GTi? I think it might have been called the Black?

Many thanks for any help/info you can provide.

Will

It's not a case of "trawling through threads" it's a case of using a bit of savvy and using the search function before posting the same topic which becomes tedious to other users.

Sorry all, didn't mean for that to come out moody at all   but like I said, there was a recent post about it, I think it'll be around on the 2nd or 3rd page, with pretty much the same title as this.

They didnt from factory but specialist tinkered with them. People claim that they are factory but they are not.

if it's a gti engineering it gets more confuseing.

thety had a vw dealership number,   so chould do you a vw aproved 2.0 convserion and you chould keep u'r warranty as well.

it'd be a main agent conversion
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

Spot on and i believe they were classified as dealer no.315 or 365 can't remember now, an approved VW UK tuning agent, if it is a GTI-E car then there will be a face plate detailing the conversion on the slam panel.

There is also a good thread in the MK2 projects section for Syncro been restored and within the thread a full breakdown on GTI-E.
