I can vouch for the fact that the car looks much better in real life - and I'm sure those that have seen it in real life will agree.

The numberplate I'll agree looks very lost in those photos - merely due to the fact that it is a big white square in the middle of the photo. In real life, when you can actually see the numbers it does look pretty good. People say that my number plate looks gash where it is (I agree entirely), but i think leaving the front mask black, or carbon in this instance changes the whole front end of the GTI and makes it look superb - and really detracts the eye from the numberplate location.

We all know the specifications of the Pirelli..................yellow stitching, special edtn. wheels, different seats etc etc etc, so telling him that they make it look gash isn't exactly 'constructive' and 'helpful'.... Why not just comment on something else, or just not comment at all!

ETTO, IMO blah blah blah....everyone is entitled to their own point of view i completely agree, but there's a line when a point of view can be phrased and worded to become an insult...! That comment isn't so much directed at this thread because in all honesty there's only been one stupid comment here so far, but just a general observation.

Great pics mate, I'm looking forward to when the serious modifying begins soon

Well steady ... the yellow stitching is no more 'tacky' than the red of the ED30, and to say the wheels look aweful is frankly woefully wide of the mark! You may not like them, but to say they're aweful is a ridiculous statement!

A 'normal 2006 GTI' LOL

You get far too defensive mate, people are entitled to their opinions.

If they dont like it, they dont like it simple as that...its your car you love it, does it really matter what other think or say??

ETTO as always.

Now, now Handbags ladies.

A nice series of pics.  But as Edition30 says ETTO. Now as regards to the red stitching, they have now used it on the MKVI GTI  . But now its spread from the gear selector, steering wheel and seats to the armrest.

One thing, dont forget to clean your glass next time

I dont like the front number plate either TBH. Looks out of place at the side.
Also dont like the alloys - and yes Ive seen them up close. Had a Pirelli next to me a few weeks back when I had my previous car, and didnt think much of them. Much prefer my Pescara's ;)

The car itself is very nice though. Dont like your first few shots of a dirty looking car, but your pics after that are pretty nice! Like the way you set the lighting for the pic of the rear window with the golfgti.co.uk sticker on - looks great ;)

Still chuffed with my Grey ED30 though. If I went for a Pirelli I would have ended up changing the alloys, and they are a main part that make the Pirelli what it is, hence the reason why I didnt go for it.

yep lol a normal 2006 gti pirelli p but i paid half the amount you probably did and never got all the tacky yellow and sh!te wheels and with a nice revo re-map it does me fine bud and as said earlier in thread ed30 is miles ahead in all aspects- easily, the red stitch looks  along with the rest of the car really just what you would expect from a 20k plus motor

Very nice.

Not 100% sure on the numberplate.

I think the Pirreli alloys are better than the Pescara's  :lipsrsealed:

Monza II's FTW however.

I even like the seats!  I prefer red stitching to the yellow though....

But all in all I'd happily swap!

yeh i do prefer the monzas but obv weren't an option and theres no point me buying a set aftermarket given its a special edition. I'll get some BBS CHs in black at some point!
