DO YOU NOTICE A DIFFERENCE WITH?

HELLO BUDDIES,I,'V NOW BROUGHT A CAB MK1 AND APART FROM CHANGING THE WHEELS AND DROPPING IT .WAS THINKING ABOUT SPLASHING OUT ON A 4-2-1 EXHUAST MANIFOLD AND POWER FLOW EXHAUST.THE QUESTION IS THAT
WOULD I NOTICE THAT MUCH DIFFERANCE .
I BROUGHT IT FOR RELAXING IN BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE A BIT MORE GRUNT.

Short answer - yes
Long answer - you would do well to change the panel filter for a K&N and maybe drill the airbox too (opinions vary here) as it is alright getting the exhaust gases out but you need to get the air in to begin with. When you have the powerflow manufactured, ask for the centre silencer to be removed. Amazingly, it makes little difference to the noise, but does free up the exhaust flow. I have mine done, but mated to a mongoose box, and the noise level is only 109db. The 4-2-1 manifold is a rare beast indeed, but if you can source one, then this alone is reputed to give up to 10 BHP coupled, with maybe, another 8 from a good exhaust/air filter system, then you should be able to find a noticeable difference. However, dont expect miracles, it is still a cab.

some companies say it will give you 10bhp+
certainly sound sweet and may pick up more throughout the rev range, it wont kick you back in your seat though.

the best mod you can get done for your cab and its a stupid one, is get it serviced these cars are over 10 years old and youll notice the difference after doing that.

i had a full stainless steel custom exhaust fitted and it felt no different, in some ways i felt it lacked the power although it sounds much better.

real power gains are produced by polishing, fast road cam, enlarging engine etc.

dont forget to tune it when changing the flow of in/out gasses or the mixture will be wrong.
