Smashed front fog light
« on: 12 April 2009, 13:53 »
Giving the car a good clean,I've just noticed that a flying stone has cracked the near side fog light. You'd only notice if you looked really closely. Are they expensive to replace? I'm tempted to live with it as I'm sure nobody else would spot it.Though it is bloody annoying obviously!!

Cheers Ifti...think you're right. Stone chips, tar spots, sctatches and dents...why can't somebody invent a force field around your car to keep it as new?

lol if only!!
As long as the light still works, and you cant see it unless you really inspect that closely, I wouldnt bother.
Then again, if its gonna keep you up at night, and you keep looking at that one spot every time you look at the car, hoping it will fix itself, then get it sorted! ;)

they are under £40. I'd get it fixed, it's not like you're driving around in a £100 shed

hi mate if you decide not to bother replacing it then id atleast put a small splodge of clear silicone on it as it will mist up inside otherwise if the glass actualy has a hairline crack in it
