vr6 gearbox advice

my vr6 threw a cog recently and smashed the sh!t outa the bell housing :(

ive found someone with a g60 box wanting reasonable money, will this fit ok??

nope the VR box has different bell housing :(

you do know the 16v box is the same...and much easier to get

rite this is the advice i need as i aint got a scoobydoo where mechs are concerned, i have some1 to fit it just need to know what boxes fit.

so any 16v box will fit?

I just saw a 16v gearbox come onto ed38 for £80

yes but will it definately fit, id hate to go and get a 16v box and it not fit and have a car that goes nowhere again....
