hi my mrs has a mk 3.5 cabrio (mk3 shell but mk4 front end). we bought it cheap due to a few problems it had, one being a lack of remote key fob. this means the only access to the car is using the key in the door. sadly at the weekend both door locks have broken.
i have removed them both and the barrels are ok, its the bits behind the barrels which have smashed. i cant seem to find the cabrio handles anywhere and mk3 golf handles are wrong. these look like mk3 handles but with mk4 barrels in (it uses a blade style key) but the mk4 bits cant be fitted to the cabrio handles. i have also tried polo buts but they are wrong too!
surely these handles must have been fitted to something else too!
can anyone help as we are having to leave the car unlocked at the moment
