6spd ABF
« on: 04 April 2009, 10:53 »
Anyone know if a mk4 6spd will fit the mk3 ABF? One has come up at a good price.

Not got a gearbox code but will update once I get it but just a general query.

I know 6spds will fit other earlier engines just wondering if anyone on here has any experience?

Cheers in advance

all has same bolt pattern ( as long as it's off a 4 cyl )

abf also has ali bracket that gives additional mounting for the box.     problem is enigne mounts and driveshafts tho
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

Cheers for the knowledge guys.

So we reckon it'd need custom driveshafts then?

Sure I read a PVW mag that had a how to guide yonks ago, planted that seed in my mind, I'll have a look for it later on.
