Water pump
« on: 04 April 2009, 00:37 »
What does the water pump do?  - i'm guessing that it provides water to the radiator  -  and why should it be changed?

I'm looking to get the cv joint changed tomorrow provided jwelsh's right about his diagnosis - i thought i'd get the water pump changed too as many of these folk recommend getting a new one every now and again.

Water pump should be done with every cambelt change - have a look though the history if its not been done get it done ASAP.

Mine has just failed as VW didnt change it when thay last did the cambelt.
(Didnt even recommend to change it!!)
