Odd Electrical Problem
« on: 03 April 2009, 21:33 »
Got into the golf tonight and it had no internal lights except for dash lights, the central locking
was not working and neither was the sunroof. When i tried to operate the sunroof hte headlight buzzer
sounded, the same with the interior lights. Also the clock reset to zero when i turned the ignition key.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

It is  starting strong. It is either a fuse or a short. Are these on the same circuit?
Will try the fuses in the morning, but i have a feeling it is a relay.

sounds to me like the second fuse on the right (as your looking at the fuse box) it keeps blowing on mine and i dont know why!!! ( my centre locking, sun roof, light and ciggy lighter all go when it happens) its a 10 amp.

Yea, it was that fuse. Think it might be the ciggie lighter causing it.
