thinking of swapping me 1.8t in for a 5dr and iam think a gt tdi 150 ?

wot sort of price are the gt tdi 150`s had a look on ebay and there only a hand full on there, also i think i need the better mpg lol i make 50 miles to a tena at the mo.

How many miles you doing a year, then?

would say i do about 65miles a week , but i do go up to leicester a fair bit as my dad lives there and that is about 160miles from me.

65x52=3380 plus 2k in leicester trips and you're thinking of a diesel WTF!!!!!!

On another note I know owners of both 130 and 150 diesels and even some 150 owners secretly prefer the 130

even i've got to say it won't be worth swapping 

how are you doing those 65 miles a week?? if its short journeys you'll struggle to see decent MPG as the diesels take longer to warm up so you won't reach their peak efficiency

if you were doing 65 miles a day then its a no brainer

I've always thought the general rule of thumb is that if you do about 12k or less a year, use petrol.  More than 12k, get a diesel.
