The sun's out so gave it a proper good wash down.  Got that nasty grit and crap all off!  Same again next weekend but with some heavy waxing.  Might even invest in a clay bar.

Stripped out the rear seats, shelf and trim to try and pin-down an annoying creak, to find that had solved it.  Slowly putting it all back together to find the culprit creaker!   :laugh:

Topped up the screenwash and checked the tyre pressures  :smiley:

Started it after it sitting the carpark for about 2 months, will need TLC ( truck loads of cash) most likely, but it was running and doesn't seem to have spat it's core plugs in the freeze :shocked:

Has a nocking sound underneath now but it's either exhaust, new shock or a binding rear caliper. Will find out when I get it in the garage...

But it started so it's a step in the right direction.

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

did a couple of brake pipes on the golf

then did a pair of ball joints on the audi
and put some repair bandage on the exhaust
stripped the rear brakes and greased them mot has ran out
hopefully should pass tomorrow

last two days I've mainly done the following

LED rear number plate lights
Fitted push fittings to the rear mats
Hoovered the interior
Wired up my auto dimming mirror
Installed some LED puddle lights

Started it up and pulled her out the garage for the first time in 3 months,sulked abit but after I got her warmed up everything was sweeeet! then gave it a goood clean treated the leather then put her back in the garage  :grin: then realised the mot is due next month and it's only done 340 miles since theast one  :laugh:

cleaned out the washer jets, hoovered it, sorted the alignment on the full beam, tightened up the PAS belt and topped up fluids.

looked on ebay, seen some nice mk2 alloys, bought them for my dads mk3, now he's thinking of doing a 2.0 16v engine swap
