picked up the keys, put them down got on the bus.
Off all next week so she will get some welding and painting and loving may fit new cam if i get it cleaned up in time who nows :wink:

Had the oil and filter changed with proper VW longlife III and a genuine VW filter.  Went with VW stuff after becoming thoroughly confused over all the conflicting, contradictory oil info available.

Also had the front discs machined true on the car for braking pleasure!   :grin:

Fiddled with my linkages to try and get it going in 5th better.... no luck. :( but also fitted a new breather hose much improvement!!! :D

drove to work, topped up the screen wash and will drive her home   :smiley:

Oh while I had the bonnet open I checked the alternator belt as well  :cool:

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

fitted crystal headlights and half tinted the rear lights looks ok now the question is do i replace the spotlights with a single light grill ?
