Well guys, you'll be pleased to know that I may stop bugging you as much with my pre-GTI questions.
About bl00dy time too!
Just kidding... I remember when I got my first Mk5 GTI in 2006 - it was my first new car and I couldn't stop looking at it - even through the curtains :embarassed:
Now for the 4 year service... I have some tips that might save you money and improve the drive.
1. If you get a Quaife LSD fitted, then you'll automatically have a DSG service done as its part of the install process.
2. If you get uprated brakes, then you should get a free brake fluid service done inclusive.
3. If you get a APR High Pressure Fuel Pump done, then ask for the fuel filter to be done for free at the same time.
4. Save fuel by getting a remap from Revo - my car did 35mpg when I drove back from Portsmouth to Birmingham after Stage 1 and 36mpg after Stage 2! The trick is that you can go easy on the throttle and stay in a higher gear

I'm sure the Mk5 Moderator Hurdy would also agree with the above

Oh, there are a few more 'bits and bobs' that you might as well do if you go for the above... but I'll let Hurdy elaborate

Finally, appearing at VW shows like GTI International is now mandatory.
