Inspired to keep my Mk3
« on: 31 March 2009, 23:49 »
Hello all, only discovered this forum today.

Had a bus go into the back of my Mk3 8v GTi a week ago and was going to get rid but after getting a VR6 boot and spoiler today for £40 and finding this site I have big plans for it. I will get some pics up when I get a chance. I only have them of the boot install at the moment (thankfully not damaged!).

hello and welcome

that doesn't look too bad, I was expecting your entire back end to be caved in.

Yea was more frustrating as I had just spent £170 getting my MOT done when the bus hit it and thought they would write it off. They let me have it back plus money to repair it myself which I didn't know you could do. It has worked out really well. Got the VR6 boot cheap and the car it came off still has the leather in it. He wants £250 for it. Massivley tempted!
