Digi misfire and odd problem
« on: 31 March 2009, 20:25 »
My Digi seems to have developed a misfire at 4-5k rpm. and more noticable under hard acceleration usually in 3 or 4th gear. It seems to have happened since I filled up with V-power (although may be coincedence) as I usually use normal unleaded. Any ideas?

Also today I was running car at idle for 40mins carrying out wheel refurb  and suddenly she started to struggle as if running out of fuel and then stopped. Went to restart and battery wouldn't kick it over (flat). I also noticed the igniton/oil pressure light stayed on when key removed. I removed battery and reconnected it to reset MFA computer and jump started it and its been fine since with lights back to normal. This happened twice in 2 days but it seems ok now but I've that worry in the back of my mind.
Could it be that the car has been hot and the fan is drawing more than alternator is charging at idle?

cheers for any help

My mate just suggested the cap, he changed his and it ran crap. I replaced mine a few weeks back and had a look yesterday and the centre electrode looked a bit dodgy. May try and source a good quality one and beru leads are now on the list LOL.

cheers for reply mate
