he was really lucky it didnt hit him slightly lower or I think it would have been game over.

bloody hell!

he seems to have had both sides of luck on that one.

an inch down and to the right and he'd be a gonna for sure.

reports are saying he won't be driving for the rest of the season and there is a worry that he may have permenant eye damage and even never fully recover mentally.  :sad:

poor bloke. must be torture knowing your one of the best drivers in the world and maybe cant drive in f1 again. lets hope he recovers ok

I suspected this may end up being the case, poor bloke. Although perhaps better to have survived and to enjoy his family but not race again, than to have died.

Niki Lauda is suggesting Schumacher should replace him for the next few races as he thinks the Ferrari test drivers are rubbish...  :shocked:

gonna be a proper drivers merri-go-round next year it seems.

3 - 4 new teams with seats to fill , no BMW now , Barrichello probably retiring , maybe no massa ( looking less likely now tho , his eye is ok)....
