All it will take to save face on the teams side will be a slight change to the new rules. The statments they all put out basically said they would leave if there was a 2 tier system ( gone now) or the £40 k budget cap was to be done in it's
current form.
A few tweaks here and there to the original £40k plan and the teams will be able to say that enough was done to make them happy.
The amount of money it would cost the teams to pull out and close next year is huge , redundency payouts alone would be horrific , hence Honda basically giving the team to Brawn this year.
Could be some good drivers in new teams tho' , I don't know who'd stay or who'd retire.
