Digi fiz as the electronic clocks are known was an option on the golf but I think not a lot of people could afford them at the time, You can sometimes get them secondhand but normally people know what they are worth and so charge a fortune, also not sure what you would have to change to fit them, I know the speedo cable is replaced on the gearbox with the speed sender like on later passats and corrados.
