now this will confuse - but a specific mk2 is lower than others as standard, so that would be a bigger looking drop  :wink:

This is what Chuff's trying to say. So it depends on if you mean 40mm by the manufacturer of the suspension's specs, which really is more like 20mm on an 8v GTI, or 10mm on a 16v...read that link for all to be explained.

I would say a -40mm kit is the best way to go, it looks perfect and handles very well imo.

195/50/15 with -40mm from standard height (-30mm 8v gti & -10mm 16v)
