heater light

the heater lite on my gti never stops flashin, how can this be stopped, somedaqys i get so pissed off with it ifeel like drillin straight through plastic cover on clocks into the bulb 2 shut it up :sick:

heater light?
do you mean the oil temp light or the heater light underneath where the radio goes?
Oil temp id check the obvious like oil level, then check sensor wiring.
Or faulty diadode in dash?
Bit clearer info would help

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

yeah could be, it,s either the light or your lights fadin away in my mirror again  :evil:

its not necessarily the temp light

could be the low level switch in your expansion bottle,

IF you have a connector in the Expansion tank, disconnect it, then BRIDGE the 2 plugs, if the light goes out, its new expansion tank, if not, ooops

and save you RACING  :rolleyes: to a new thread, they are avaliable from GSF  :wink:

I'd check the sensor.
changed that, an just put header tank of mk3gti on, still the same, it looks like last owner tried 2 solve it, cause wires from header tank dont look factory fit

i changed that mate, an tried expansion bottle of mk3 , no joy though
