replacing 16v fuel lines?
« on: 19 March 2009, 21:59 »
Hello,

I'd like to replace the fuel lines on my 16v that run from the metering head to the injectors.

VW have quoted me around £100 for the four hoses, metal pipe at metering end then rubber flexi in the middle then metal pipe to injector, but not including all the bolt fittings at the metering head.

I've seen a few people using braided hoses, I'm sure you can pick this up pretty cheap by the meter, but can't find much information on where to get the fittings from.

Anyone had any experience of doing this?

Any help appreciated

Mine are knackered too, only thing for it is ITB's or engine transplant

Check classifieds on here, Ed38, ebay etc. they crop up from time to time for about 40.00ish for everything.

Good idea! except that I'm really happy with the engine I've got

Does anyone know the internal diameter of the hose and what size banjo's I'd need at the metering end of it?

Fair play dude  It's not too shabby for a 17yr old motor but I hunger for more power
