I've not heard of any real problems with either the fuel pump or the fuel pump.

I've not heard of any real problems with either the DMF or the fuel pump. If it is the fuel pump it is worth noting that it is driven off the camshaft and the lobes have been known to wear prematurely, which can in turn cause damage to the camshaft. I'd be tempted to go with the one's quoting the fuel pump issue and get them to check the cam lobe as it is a relatively cheap fix compared to the DMF.

thanks - yep, they're just checking it out on thurs, but have quoted for cam lobe and new fuel pump.

Not sure if anyone's following this, but i'm booked in for a replacement fuel pump. Full service history and no contribution from VW though, poor show. Still, £1000 cheaper than the replacement duel mass flywheel that was quoted.

Well at least you're going to be sorted without taking too much of a hit...

Good news then

Here's hoping that it sorts your issue.

Also, ask if you can keep the parts that they swap out. Firstly it gives proof that they have done the work and secondly, you can look at the parts for any damage....Pics on here please
