mk2 16v wierd prob help !!!

ok , so i have been using the car for the past month or so but now i have to get this problem sorted as it it driving me mad! 

So when you start the car from cold it is ok, but as soon as it warms up (2-3 miles) it starts cutting out. now this only happens when you take your foot off the accelerator ! all the time you are accelerating it is fine, as soon as you decel or take your foot off a relay clicks (fuel pump) the rev counter goes mad and it acts as if it has cut out. You put your foot back ont the accelerator and it cuts back in and off you go! this is worse when it is warm outside if it is cold then it tends not to be bad i have been told that this could be a temp sensor to the ecu could this be right ? any help wld be greatly appreciated thanks James.

Tricky one.

The three temp sensors are on the side of the head under the dizzy. One goes to the ECU - try swapping the leads around to other sensors as only one of the sensors might be squiffy. The red/yellow wire is for the dash gauge, so you can diagnose all the sensors by taking the reading with this wire on each sensor.

If its not a sensor, I would look into the ECU itself, and the TCI ignition module, although these are both guesses!
