 Just fitted brand new Wishbones, Eibach ARB, track rods & polybushed throughout, I lowered the car back on it's wheels for everything to settle after a few bounces & went underneath to torque everything up..
Just noticed how close my track rods are to the ARB, just touching it in places from lock to lock with everything tightened up?
I've also lowered it 30mm on Gaz dampers & Eibach springs, surely this isn't extreme or is it because the ARB is a larger diameter now?
Has anyone encountered this problem before, or is it me
Just worried how much force will be on them driving hard on sh!tty roads?
Cool if u can help..?

The ARB shouldn't be anywhere near the TR - you haven't installed it upside down have you?

  • Here comes the piano man - his a peaceful man..
+1 shouldn't be anywhere near the track rod arm, mines 40mm lower at the front with no clearance issues..

Got to be.

Neither mine nor my Dad's is anywhere near the track rod

edit: an upside down Eibach arb :embarassed: You can see it is raised up above the wishbone, rather than being the same level

:embarassed: That's about right for me.. For the record, Eibach ARB's can be fitted upside down!
I offered it up prior to fitting too & saw the Eibach name the right way up & thought that's the way it goes on! Doh!!
All done now & everything looks sweet.. No rubbing on the track rods!
... also chuffed to bits as it started 1st time & settled down to a nice tickover after sitting idle in my garage for 12 months..
If only everything in life was so reliable, eh?
Thanks guys, big help having pics to look at..
