when im spraying my laquer do i spray the same as if im painting or is there another technique?

dont dust it on, it will look like the side of a box of matches,the striking part :grin:
you need to get a nice even coat but dont go to much, you dont want any runs,sags.
what you using 1k(rattle can) or 2k stuff??
once you have given it a nice decent coat dont be tempted to give it another to soon, let it tack of, not dry though just tacky.

yeah a rattle can im using. it came out kinda poo. i only done a few so im gonna get the rest of the trip out and start again. how do you suggest i spray it on then?

just nice even coats not to dry but no to wet either, somewhere in the middle,lol
after the 2nd coat you should sort of see the finnish your after.
what is it your painting??

this was with the last coat, you can see the finnish has got some shine, it didnt take long to polish up :smiley:

the wood trim from my interior. so do i sand it inbetween? how long between coats?

i would rub them down with 800 wet and dry then a few coats of primer leave these to dry(maybe over night) then rub down again with the 800w/d then colour and laq.  i would leave 10 mins between coats dependant on how warm it is where you do them.

or if your primer goes on nice and smooth you can paint strait on to it no need to let it dry overnight.
where abouts are you? are they just goint black?

there going reflex silver like the car. im in caterham in surrey (near croydon) i was doing coats over night, like sanding, spraying primer and then leavin it over night, then sanding down the primer and putting another coat of primer on and so on. even with the colours lol. where abouts are you?

a lot of people say that, paint wait to dry sand paint wait and so on, takes ages and not really needed.
im by birmingham,if you was close or could get them to me i could of done them for you :smiley:
