16v water hose

Was just having a tidy around in the engine bay and found a hose that is split , it is the hose that runs from the bottom of the expansion tank to the cyl head. towards the cyl head is a hole by the spring clip that clamps it on.
euro car parts etc can not get the hose, so will try main stealers, ive got the part no 535 121 109 - (water hose expansion chamber water pipe) from the ETKA cd.

How important is this hose ? not sure how long its been like this, but does not lose any water ? just looks like small amount of oil from it.

Noticed mine was split the other week.
I went to a local motor factors where I got a 1m length of generic water hose and cut it to length myself.
Take your old one with you and they should be able to match the diameter to your existing one.
Cost about £4 with 2 new hose clips and ive still got half the hose for spare
