I'm about 10BHP down. Flat spot isn't noticeable on the road. I'll prboably replace is the boost hoses in die course and may put a new Forge 007p on there.

I may do the same as I then know everything is fitting properly !!

These VAG engines are a bit too complicated for their own good!!

Think I found my missing horses today. Took it to my mates house who knows a thing or two about turbo engines (Cosworths mainly!) and we tested all the vac and air pipes which were all fine. Actuator working as it should and holding 20psi so nothing there. Then we moved on to fixing my secondary air pump and in doing this checked the pipe from the turbo to the pancake pipe.... Well the thing was covered in oil which shows it was leaking. Took it all apart, cleaned it all up and refitted it properly and the car drives a lot smoother and I can tell its holding the boost (probably because its getting the FULL boost!). Also fixing the secondary air pump means it doesn't sound like a diesel on cold starts now!!

Am a bit happier now!!

Yeah thats the one. The metal pipe runs from the turbo across the back of the engine and then bends down which joins to a rubber pipe with a "5" printed on it which in turn connects to the pancake pipe. The join between the pancake pipe and "5" pipe was covered in crusty oil residue which obviously wasn't sealed properly....

My boost leak commet was a fob off!!   lol just kidding m8. Just kidding mate!    Bens had the same problem for the past few month, it was only on friday when we fitted his new de-cat we found the oil around the joint on the pipe.  This would explain Bens car being 10bhp down at JKMs rr day.

Next time your down this way pop into us and we will put your car on the dyno again for free to see the true result from your AUQ lump and the spec1 map

Glad your happy again m8!!

Nick.

Cheers Nick. I never doubted the map, but always doubted the car. Its never been super smooth since I have had it.
Just been out it in again now, and its getting better all the time as the TB beds in again after a really good clean up.

Will let you know when I am up that way. Probably won't be until June now as I am on holiday in May but I would be very interested to see what she is pushing out now! I think I will upgrade to a Forge 007P aswell though to be on the safe side.

I am well happy!!! And thanks for the support and for putting on a great day on saturday! Think my brother is interested in getting his 150PD sorted after seeing the results so will see if we can bring both cars up at the same time....
