Yeah does all seem a bit similar doesn't it. Could do with a new MAF to try to make sure it cures it as they are bloody expensive!!!
Like you safe if there was a boost leak then surely it would peak and then drop it as in theory it would leak away from the start??!! To be honest I am happy with the way it performs as I am not really into ranting the nuts of it but on the flip side the map should give it around 210bhp so I am 25bhp down which is a fair bit....

I'm about 10BHP down. Flat spot isn't noticeable on the road. I'll prboably replace is the boost hoses in die course and may put a new Forge 007p on there.

My mate works on VW so i'll see if i can get one on the cheap (ish!) and i'll give it a go. If it works for me then i would think about changing yours. I may try cleaning it first with that  isopropyl  stuff. Only a few quid so worth a shot even if it only works for a day or two. As you say, don;t want to be spending £80 on a needless part

EDIT: Mines really noticable when it happens. It's like someone has put the hand brake up 1 notch when giving some welly but lifts off again after 4.5 all the way up too the naughty box (redline)

I may do the same as I then know everything is fitting properly !!

These VAG engines are a bit too complicated for their own good!!

Yeah let me know Sam. Be very interested to see if it clears it. I took mine off today and just blew the hoover over it but didn't do anymore than that.
