The Mk VI IMHO is very slab sided and looks fat and heavy. No doubt it does drive well and is an improvement in dynamics, history has shown that VW do not make significant advances in model variants. Given the market and the self serving motor industry, I'd rather burn my car than accept any dealer/trader part-ex valuation, so I'm keeping it :wink:

That said, if I did have a few quid lying about, I'd probably go back to a Porker and get a nice 993 but the missus would like a camper :laugh:

She's right about the camper van.
Much more fun than some old Porkshire (unless you are having some sort of middle aged crisis).
I took mine around the Nurburgring as fast as it would go, then camped next to the track at Brunnchen corner.  Great beery night with some sausage eaters.

I def won't be buying the Mk6 as my Ed30 does everything I want and more.  I want/ed the Nissan GT-R, but am reading a lot of posts about problems with the transmission which is a $20k fix, a driveshaft failing and sticking into the road  :shocked:, mandatory (and probably expensive) pre- and post-track dealer inspections - otherwise your warranty is void and bizarre warranty conditions like turning off traction control voids the warranty (I've seen someones scanned manual saying that  :huh:) etc.. and not much communication from Nissan.  So if Nissan resolve these issues by the time I am ready to order one, I will buy one.  If not, then I'll probably recycle my money through an A-Z of drivers cars, keeping each one for 2-3 months max and end up with a Porsche 911.  Of course, the Ed30 is staying for good.  :cool:  I might be tempted into a Mk7 depending on how good it is - but that will be for the wife.

would be an Audi RS6 for me mate but we all look for different things in cars!! You can't go far wrong with a 911...

You'll find lots of 911 drivers have motorhomes, unless they are city boys with no room to park.
