Mk5 mirrors fitted and wired in - with pics

I had a spare hour today so I decided to fit my mk5 mirrors.

I only managed to get one fitted as I came up against a problem with the inidcator wiring (that I caused myself lol) plus the wife wanted to go for a run before it got dark. I'm fitting the other side 2moro and should be able to wire the indicators in too. All the cables have been run through so It should be easy from now on (he says)

someone hasn't read my project thread :wink:

Yes mate I've got some proper VW blanks for them which are colour coded, don't want to go through the hassle and expense of getting the side repeaters properly smoothed off

I'll edit and get rid of the double pic lol

Really liking the mkv mirrors you've fitted wazzer great job there mate  :wink: did you spray the covers yourself? how did you wire the idicators in? *goes to my to do list mmmmm good stuff  :cool:

I had a mate of my cousin spray them for me, he's done a really good job on them, not bad for £20  :wink:

the indicators are being wired up to the hazard switch, just got to solder it on 2moro

Yes Rich they are Sharan blanks  :smiley:

Wired to the hazard switch?  Don't you want to use them as proper indicators?
