Oxford is central for 99% of people. Of course they'll always been someone that moans it's too far for them (you in this case ). it's a hour and a half drive for me too as I'm on the border of wales. You can't expect it to be on your doorstep unless you organise on yourself and someone tried a meet near birmingham a while ago and nothing came of it.

i think your reasoning behind oxford is superb. its about an hour drive from here, and i would love to organise a convoy up the A423 through Henley or whatever they called it these days. fantastic race track.

however, your timing is bad. away that weekend.

i wish i could but the mk2 is still in the respray booth and the polo has a slight oil leak. (dont wanna risk it)  

Nothing quite like a small oil leak!!!  oxford is about 1 1/2 from me don't trust the car for that length of time!!!!

Normally I would be interested in an Oxford meet, but not sure about 29th August.  I'll let you know.

Weeknights are usually free though.  What made you change your mind to a weekend (29th is Sunday), Dizzie?

this is 3 and 1/2 hours drive for me!!!, i wouldnt mind if it was a daytime meet but not a nighttime one, and especially on a bank holiday!!! (sun 29th) no way im driving on the roads that day!!!! lol, have fun dizzie and hope you get a good turn out, hmmm regular thing, thats what i thought of newark mate, youll do 2 then get p@ssed of with doing it all mate. if it wasnt bank holiday of and evening in the week id bring smokey down, but as it is i cant! , as for location sh@t hot mate, i love oxford i have to take me sone there to hopital once a year and i love it!!!
