i know this thred is pretty much useless with out pics but the rubber texture around the centre console and space above strero with the same texture has been scracthed and looking crap for ages and the fact it would cost quite a bit to replace from vw ive not done any thing with it
untill tonight i removed both items wiped them over with meths this breaks it down a bit and it starts to peel of quite easy i used a filler spreder to scrape most of it off and then gave it a scrub with some hand cleaning wipes (lidl ones) and then just gave the bits a plastic polish buy hand
needless to say the horrid rubber has gone leaving me with some nice shiny plastic
if any one does this to there bits just becareful what you use as meths ect can melt plastic try it on the back first
