vagcom advice

my mate has a golf similar to mine, only thing is i have modified mine myself and he bought his done up, when he presses the alarm to lock, it beeps like a clifford alarm, but its a standard alarm

now ive heard through vagcom that u can 'activate' ur alarm, is this true? and if so can the dealers do it for you?or does anyone around the
north west area have a vagcom to do it for me, and ill drive down, sort u out for doing it for me?

Hi yer basically you need a full version of vag com to enable beeps.

2 minute job really!

no im not mate, there are a few things i need to sort out, like get my ko4 off my mums worktop and into my car lol!

do the dealers do the vagcome activation?or do u for that matter?

Yer i've got vag com but i live near the end of the world, which is why i asked if you would be at RR day, would have done it for you then!  :wink:








... but your not so you need to find someone else a bit closer!

dealers will do it for you but be warned they may well charge you!

i was quoted £40 labour to enable the anti-hijack feature!!

When questioned at how they can justify that charge they said they're minimum charge is 30 minutes for plugging in their computer!!

ended up buying VAG COM and doing it myself!
