Handbrake ;)

Afternoon guys

Bit New to the Whole Golf thing got myself a 8v on a P plate, yet the only problem i have it have with the car is that the ratchet on my hand break does not lock out in all positions how easy or hard is it to change.

anyone else had this problem before?

You only need it to lock on at the highest position! Mine slips if I dont pull it on hard enough!

Not sure what you mean? do you mean you have to pull it right up for it to lock?

ok spelling bit sh*t.

it locks in at the first notch and if i pull really hard so the handle is near on verticle. Yet anywhere in between it slips.

has anyone ever changed one and if so how easy is it to do?

2 bolts hold the handle and ratchet on...and you simply undo the cables, remove the bolts and replace

cheers might have a go at it this weekend its really starting to wind me up every time i park the car.
