Oh forgot to add its mainly for the mrs to drive to and from work and we are going up from a 1.25 fiesta  so after a good solid all round car that will go on and on,

Hi again

First off: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=106940.0

1. Could you have a turbo?

2 If not the 1.8 20v non turbo is very good 125 bhp

3 Rhyso will be along to sell the derv any min

Ha no derv for me, as said i would consider a 1.8 non turbo but reading up there only 10bhp above the 2.0.. also insurance comes into things as the mrs is 21 and im 23.. Personally id love a turbo but as i already have a turbo "toy" so couldnt justify the extra insurance etc...

I would go 1.8 20v N/A over a 2.0 8V thats just me tho.

The 8v is a solid car and when looked after very smooth nice drive.

If you don't want it for performance thay are fine
