sunroof part broke pics included

hi ive got a problem a part on my sunroof has broke can i just replace the part or do i need to take the whole lot apart?

And changing the sunroof ain't a nice job.

I did the one in my old Mk3 when I was 17 though, so it could just be the fact I was young and had to do it on my own :grin:

You have to remove the a/b/c pillar trims, the sun visors, grab handles, interior light etc, then the roof lining, then there's a load of bolts holding the sunroof in place, meh, just thinking about it is bad enough :grin:

its easy to do, did mine on my own whilst i was off ill with flu, bit of a pain in the ass trying to hold it up in place whilst you get the first bolt in tho hahahaha

ps you can do it without fully removing the roof liner as i did, just drop it down at the front

the part came from the passanger side of it. i take it the part is connected somewhere not just a bit thats broken off

lol like I say, I did mine when I'd just turned 17, it was raining and very windy which didn't really help as my roof lining snapped :angry:

Oh well, sold it for 1600 quid (Mk3 Golf 1.4 Ryder) so it was worth it in the end

Far from me to say it but if your selling it, then leave it as is and just tell people that it is not working.

i thought about that but some people wouldnt buy it as that not working might make people think is there anything else wrong
