Superchips sent me a revised stage 1 map after I asked if mine was the latest map.
The car seems a bit nippier than before.

Looking at the bluefin web site they offer a free upgrade to stage 2.
A sports cat backend is advised.
Has anyone tried running the stage 2 on an unmodded GTI?
Was it any good?

i wouldn't try running a stage 2 on a standard GTi mainly because your exhaust gas temperatures will be higher which in turn will lead to running problems and possible early death of one or two rather vital engine components!

Stage 2's are designed to work with freer-flowing cats and exhausts as they help to reduce the exhaust gas temps and remove the hot gases away from the engine more quickly

The new nippier stage 1 is fine.
I won't try the stage 2 if it's going to roast my engine

very sensible

or though you could have a moment of madness and get a turbo back exhaust system seeing as you will save a few quid on the free upgrade to Stage 2
