Electric Window
« on: 08 March 2009, 19:05 »
I had a guy round today who left a deposit on my valver, during the test drive we was checking all the windows worked and the rear one has stayed down. when i press the button to close it i can hear the motor but the glass doesnt lift. I can pull the glass up manually but it doesnt stay up cos the lifter is still down the bottom. Any ideas as i need to fix this before the guy collects it

same has happened on mine, its the bit that clamps to the glass, it slides up and down on the rail.. it breaks where the cable pulls it up and down.
not sure if you can get this bit separately but i tried fixing mine and the glue just kept breaking..

I got a minter if you want it for a small price, although i believe mine will only fit the O/S front or rear window.

Problem being that I cannot post it until Sat :-(

can pick up a regulator and motor nowadays for like 30 quid 2nd hand if you look about and there pretty straight forward to change, quite fiddly though getting it in and out
