Do think the prices being asked for cars on here are high.

Son-in-law has just bought a 16v Corrado M reg for ?2100.00 - o.k. the mileage is high but its only had two owners and looks good.

My 16v Golf was ?2900.00 18 months ago had 98k on the clock.

Time to be realistic - no matter how much you've spent or what ya done - a car is only worth what somebody is willing to pay hard cash for.

there is a bit of an irony when you consider i paid top prices for my 16v Campaign back in 92. The car had 40k on the clock, was 4 years old, and cost ?4000.

but those were the days when the fully comp insurance cost ?4k+.
