need info please as a m8 got a mk4

alright guys can u tell me wot the slide switch on the right hand stalk of the steering wheel does? it has 2 wee pics of low and high beam when switched to on on the speedo a green symbol like a pic of the speedo comes on, we not sure wot it does as no light difference. as the light options  on the dash

also how do u reset the mpg av miles etc, as someone told me that there a valeting reset button on the right stalk  and underneath it does say reset , is it the one for the trip? plus on steering wheel there a reset plus and minus is that just  the same?

any info please as we dont want to hav it put in valet mode. oh it a mk4 red tdi 5 door 52 plate

to reset the trip on the mileage screen is the black stalk button next to it. to reset MPG etc. just hold down the reset button on the underside of the right stalk.                                                                                                                                                                     as for the green light. im not going to say much incase im wrong, but i have one for the brightness of the dash lights and one to adjust the dip of the headlight

do you mean the indicator stalk?? if so that should operate the cruise control

ah on the TOP of the right stalk - that controls the intermittent wipers - i.e. long delay or short delay between wipes

other buttons are for the cruise control

ah so the plus and minus on the steering wheel are for the cruse control, the light on left hand stalk for beam level so wot the one on right hand stalk under neath marked reset for? as i wld hav thought it for resetting trip computer? kinda like my mk3??


oh and i do love my mark 3 but th mark 4 looks sweeter when done right lol dont put that on the mk3 section i will get hung drawn and ripped a mew one lol only as my m8s tdi looks the nuts lowered in that grahite grey. ha ha ha

yeah it does reset the trip computer    i'd tell your mate to read the manual as its all in there

never got one with it lol and he really aint into cars as in he likes them,he dirves them lol giv u an idea he the kinda guy when in helfords and asked wot type of car u drive? ha ha ha he say grey one lol
