I think, if I'm not very much mistaken, that the standard jobbies use Jubilees for this kit.  Actually, the IC pipes do, I can't remember what the top pipes use, off the top of my head.

So are these hoses just for show really, or have any performance benefits?

They replace most of the turbo - intercooler - throttle body hoses. They are less likely to collapse under pressure and look nice too. Also your old hoses may be starting to split etc so it's more of a piece of mind mod rather than getting extra horses directly from replacing them 

I don't think there is a replacement for the rigid pipe to pancake pipe included in the kit though is there? Notieced this when changing the turbo yesterday.?
