There's no contest - the K-Jet is a simple (read stupid) mechanical system, whereas the Digifant is proper EFi, lacking only a lambda feedback loop to be 'proper'.
I like my k-jet system
because its simple. I don't think you should write off an injection system as "rubbish" just because its old fashioned. This is a bit of a silly example, but its like saying a Ford Focus Zetec engine is MUCH better than a 1960's Ford Mustang V8. What I mean is, newer technology will always be better than old, but that doesn't have any reflection on the original.
I'll probably at some point go down the ABF route, but I won't look back at my K-Jet days and say "what a sh!t engine!". The 16v KR engine came from a really interesting point in motoring history where engines became fuel injected, getting rid of carbs/chokes and all that hassle, but were just before the point of everything going ECU crazy. Its a cracking engine peeps!
Oh and PS... When you 8v digi boys are overtaken by a 16v running K-Jet, you can console yourself that your injection system is far superior. LOL!
