MK3 Golf headunit wiring colours....

Hi

the last owner of my car didnt have a clue with headunits, so bodged it with the wiring, i discovered!

anyway, can anyone tell me what colour wire does what? not so important for the speakers.

But the power, memory etc are what I need to know if possible.

tbh mate if its been messed with your best of getting hold of a multimeter to be certain.. mine had been bodged too and the permanant live and remote live were same colour wire..

As an idea, why not find someone breaking one and get them to cut the plug off for the loom and you could then match and join up as required.
