GOLF R32
« on: 05 March 2009, 15:09 »
Hi All,

Iv had my R32 for about 8 months now, its DSG 4Dr....recently iv had like a knocking sound coming from the NSF wheel!!!!! you can only hear it when you take harsh right handed corners, i.e. roundabouts!!!

Now iv had new alloys, bearings, cv boot kits all replaced hoping it would stop...iv taken it to VW twice and they dont know what it is....

Can any one help, let me know

Thanks
SR

Steering rack, top mounts, shocks/springs, arb. Did you buy it new? If so leave it at VW and demand a courtesy car until they fix it.

My driver's side was doing this after I hit a bit of a pothole a few months ago.

I had the top mount and bearing done and it is now cured.

Parts cost around £35 and labour £80.

Now it's as quiet as it should be.
