di cut?? wats that?

sounds like another name for what i think it is, but please kells enlighten me.

its those that have the white backing card on one side which u remove then on the other it has white paper, you press the stick onto the object rub the white paper bit then pull the white paper off which leaves the sticker in place...make sense???

yeah, just never heard of it being called that before. only problem with that way is when you want more than 1 color, makes it more complicated to do and wont look as good as if i printed it. plus to get more colors, you need to layer it, and when you stick on the inside, the layers wil build up and the sticker isnt flat anymore. what happens is, print the sticker reverse onto clear vinyl, then back it in white vinyl. so the black parts are printed and the white gives it a solid background. then machine cut out around the car outline of the sticker. so you get a car shaped sticker. :afro:

anyway, shady designed the sticker, so how is it taking the pi$$ out of jv. would never even think of doing that. they wont be sold on the forum, just sending to those on here who want them.

di cut is the propper name like.. haha, i do alot of work with printers in my line of work, also i think the sticker dont want no more than 1 colour anyhow or it will just look too fussy, di cut or whatever you want to call it would be the best option as their would be no clear backing etc and tje colour will be more defined

the ones you are on about doing are just those standard print stickers, i had 1000 JOY ones done for my brand (got one in my rear screen)

well its up to you guys  anyhow innit, them standard stickers your on about i can get done very cheep tho....

its my job, and i never heard of di cut, must be northern thing :D

printed stickers wont have any clear background and will look much more professional. if the car outline and wheels, etc are printed in black, when the clear vinyl its printed on is backed in white vinyl, the black will show up.

can just have the sticker done like kells is talking about too, just single color. this is done differently and wouldnt be printed, just cut out of vinyl and applied using application tape. when shady has got the artwork ready i can make up samples and some pics of what each will look like and we can vote.

LL ;)

Have you girls stopped now?

Well had a little play, if I can get it to be an interior sticker in silver, what we think of this? The white would be see through, so the glass would be the bits that are white.

Would be awesome if you could put a suspension behind the wheels.

I'd rather not.
