the car cost me £1k so thats £2500 for a 3 door black golf gti 1.8t...

This was a quote i got from HIC, work currently insure me (under pain of death if i crash) Mates GF got a quote local, same age, area, 2 previous fault claims £850 a year  :shocked:

Claims: None (3yrs NCB)
Area: Isle of Man
Insurer: HIC
Details: Fully comp, £250 excess (voluntary) aprox 18k a year mileage

LOL thats £240 a month. I remember back in 1991 paying £800 for an Astra GTE thinking that was bad.
