Ibiza brake fitment
« on: 04 March 2009, 18:07 »
I can get my hands on the brake setup from an ibiza cupra.  They are 280mm and look to be the same fitment for an 8v gti.  Can anyone confirm that my driveshafts will fit up to the hubs ok?   Also the suspension looks the same, and may nab the coilies off it if they are the same. Cheers.

i got my 280s from a ibiza cupra and was told that the driveshafts wont fit in the hubs so i took calipers and carriers from ibiza and got hubs from a corrado
but if you are going wide track maybe the hubs fit vr shafts ?
or get on gsf etc and start comparing part numbers and see what matches what

ibiza mk2 16vs have the 280mm set up. 8vs had the 256mm. mk3 1.8T ibiza has the 280mm. im pretty sure your 8v drive shafts will fit the hubs as my 8v driveshafts matched up to a 280mm set up from a Rado.

the suspension if its a mk2 ibiza will be set up for mk3 golf front and polo rears i reckon. but i reckon it should all fit and wont make much difference when its slammed.
