Surrey Body Shop - any recommendations?
« on: 12 July 2004, 09:01 »
Fair few of you are from the Surrey area, I think, so I have a question...

Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop - need a dent removing from my rear wing and a bit of respray (as the pain is damaged).

Paint is mystic blue, so I want it done by a pro, else it will look f**king awful.

Cheers

Nice one m8 - always better to get a recommendation than going on guesswork. :D

Any idea what I should expect to pay??   ???Basically some very minor panel beating to rear quarter (it was kicked by a local "yoof" >:() and some respray.  Actually you could almost not do the respray as it's only very lightly sratched - the paint hasn't actually chipped away.  Depends what happens to the paintwork when the panel gets straightened I suppose.

I also want to buy a new trim strip (the bit that goes under the h/lamps and rad grill as I've got a f*cking massive stone dent right in the centre.  I was planning on getting that sprayed up and fitted at the same time.

If anyone has any ideas on ballpark costs I'd appreciate your thoughts so I don't get ripped off! >:(

Cheers

Actually, whilst I'm at it - does anyone know a good alloy wheel refurb outfit in Walton area?   Just to repair my front two alloys which are a bit curbed - nowt to serious.   Am I right in thinking it costs around ?60 a pop?

Sorry for all the questions.............. ;)

I'm not sure about prices, i got a mk2 wing sprayed and fitted for 150 quid (i supplied the wing) a few years back. They were by far the cheapest, and they done a very very good job of it.
My dad has since taken his Audi in for a polish as the red paint had faded, they done a top job on that too.
I would go down there and have a chat with them, ask about the alloys as well.
Also they are the coachworks that Wheelbase use, and Fiat , or at least they were when i last went in there.
